SOLUTIONS
With the combination of majorityworld.com and majorityworld.org, we aim to provide a platform for majority world photographers and offer solutions that will bring them closer to global markets. At the same time, our vision is to ensure the gradual elimination of these barriers which prevent them from taking advantage of these new opportunities.

This unique online photo library specialises in images produced by majority world photographers, and is managed from the majority world itself.
- Sales, Distribution and PR:
majorityworld.com has partner agencies and distributors in numerous countries such as the USA, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Canada, Switzerland and France. We are also present at international photography tradeshows, and send out regular press releases to help increase the visibility of our photographers and the issues we are tackling.
- Finding Talent:
We actively source and search for talent all across the majority world in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Making contacts with training schools, participants of photography exhibitions, local photography groups as well as independent photographers, we are always on the lookout for potential contributors and hidden talent.
- Commissions:
Many organisations are understandably nervous about commissioning unknown photographers in a distant country. Our “Commissions with Confidence” service brings together the most experienced of our majority world photographers with potential clients. Backed up with guidance and advice to both parties, we establish long-lasting work relationships between satisfied customers and photographers.

A specialist global marketing, advocacy, and fundraising organisation controlled from the majority world, but based in the UK and operating across Europe and America.
- Advocacy:
Through our various campaigns and PR outreach activities, we will raise awareness and encourage a gradual change in buyers’ attitudes and behaviour. By highlighting problems, disseminating information, publicising best practice and introducing discussions currently absent in the public sphere, we can make these issues visible. Many people may not have had the impetus to consider these matters, but when told about it, most of them thankfully empathise with our cause.
- Brand Development:
The unique visual kite mark on the left is a high quality brand and label that identifies and authenticates the work of Majority World photographers. The brand appeals to the growing number of consumers recognising the value of purchasing products sourced and produced from the majority world. This brand will be available for licensing to selected product partners and organisations that can benefit from the brand’s added value. Most importantly, it will be a significant contribution to these organisations’ Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
- Product Development:
There are a lot of untapped possibilities in the creation of unique products featuring the work of majority world photographers, both in existing and new markets. These can be paper-based or digital, and their potential is even greater when combined with the branding power of our kite mark, which serves to authenticate and position the product in the growing ethical consumer markets.
- Fundraising:
We are actively involved in attracting funding and sponsorship. This will be used partly to support our global marketing and advocacy activities that are provided without cost to the photographers, and also to help provide technical and commercial training (e.g. in areas such as digitisation, keywording, language and marketing skills), experience building and travel. In other words, this will address all the disadvantages listed in the previous page that cannot be immediately addressed through revenue earning and trading.
